The Effectiveness of Creative Drama on Mental Health and Self-esteem in Aggressive Gifted Students

Background & Aims of the Study: Gifted students have unique characteristics and higher cognitive competencies than normal students. This study aimed to determine effectiveness creative drama on aggressive gifted students’ mental health self-esteem. Materials Methods: To conduct present applied research, 30 female in ninth tenth grades, after diagnosing aggression using Buss Perry questionnaires, were selected randomly divided into experimental control groups. Subjects then completed Coopersmith Self-Esteem General Health questionnaires (GHQ) pre-test. group participated program for 12 sessions, both groups again. Finally, data analyzed by Shapiro-Wilk U Mann-Whitney tests. Results: The results showed that intervention increased self-esteem decreased overall score subscales social dysfunction, anxiety, depression but had no significant effect subscale physical symptoms. Conclusion: confirm psychological health.
